A button for visually impaired people to identify colors
設計理念 | Design Concept
現代生活中服裝的種類與色彩十分多元,穿搭也能展現出一個人的個性與魅力。
然而視障者卻因視覺上的困難而無法自由地進行服裝色彩的挑選。
「HUEPIN」是一組能透過觸摸辨認衣物色彩的紐扣,讓即使是全盲視障者也能擁有自由穿搭的樂趣。
HUEPIN is a universal design for all people.
Our product is to help people with visual impairments, low vision, color blind or partially sighted to identify colors.
These buttons can either be a decoration on clothes or become a special guide for visually impaired people.
Giving them freedom to choose colors by themselves.

我們的產品 |What's our product?
這是一組能透過觸摸感知色彩的紐扣。
產品的外形（正方形，三角形，圓形等）代表顏色，而紐扣表面的波浪紋路則代表著對應顏色的深淺。
為了配合市面上常見的黑白灰衣服，我們將灰階設定成具有四個色階的長方形做代表。
HUEPIN is a set of button that represents variety of colors. Users can identify clothing colors by touching it.
The outer shape of button represents color and the correspond color's brightness is presented by the number of grooves.
Our color scheme has all basic primary and secondary colors. Then the lighter and darker gradients are also included. We specially devided the grayscale into four parts to match out the black-white clothes that are commonly seen.
使用情景 | Where it uses?
紐扣的形式不僅適用於上衣，也能用於褲子、帽子等衣物配件。
不限於縫在袖口邊上，使用者可隨自己的喜好置於方便觸摸的地方。
洗衣機及烘衣機，皆可使用。
Buttons can be sewn on shirt sleeve, pocket side, hat panel or anywhere on clothing that are convienient for the user. Our products are safe to wash in washing machine and tumble dry allowed.
為何選擇紐扣的形式 | Why Button?
比起其他固定方法，縫合在衣物上不僅能保證產品的固定效果。
紐扣的形式也是大眾熟悉的物件，更加利於視障者認知及使用，也讓產品在使用的安全性上得到保障。
Through investigations, we found that our target audiences think that sewing on clothes is the better way to secure and comfortable when wearing.

色彩辨識系統 | Our System
利用包浩斯主張的色彩與形狀存在一套邏輯的理論，
「三角型是動態的黃色、正方形是靜止的紅色、圓形是沉靜的藍色」
作為基本原型，長方形則代表無色彩的黑灰白。
再以兩種顏色與對應的形狀進行融合產生出二次色。

From the founder of color-shape association, the yellow triangle, the blue circle,
and the red square are unmistakably connected to the Bauhaus.
By overlaying each primary (color) shapes, secondary colors are formed.

使用方法 | How it works?
觸摸紐扣的外形認識顏色
Stroking the edges of button can identify the representative color.
紐扣表面的波浪數代表對應顏色的明度，
波浪數越多顏色越深。
The amount of groove is corresponding to the color brightness.
